Detailed logging of recursive changes in the activity logs (Admin)

Administrators have the opportunity to select how changes to folder structures are logged in the activity log.

Go to the data room settings by clicking on the gear wheel next to your data room name. Here you can check the box “For all documents” under “Activity Logs” to enable changes to folders that affect all subfolders and the documents they contain (e.g. recursive changes of access rights) to be logged for each document individually.

You can access the “Activity Logs” in the “Information” area in the left-hand navigation bar.

By clicking on one of the listed protocols, it can be viewed and downloaded if desired. By activating the feature mentioned above, the change (in the example, the deletion of the “Real Invest” folder) is now logged in the activity log for the top folder, each subfolder and all documents contained (in the example with “Moved to trash” in each case).

If the check mark is not set, only the change for the folder at the top folder level (“Real Invest” Moved to trash) is listed in the log.
