Logging into netfiles with a passkey

Once you have created a passkey, you can choose during the login process whether you want to use it or log in with your password.

Click on “Login with Passkey” if you want to login using a passkey. Next, netfiles will ask you to confirm your identity.

If you have saved the passkey on this device, you can identify yourself quickly and easily using a biometric method (fingerprint or facial recognition), your FIDO2 security key (similar to a USB stick) or your device PIN.

Log in on the computer with a passkey stored on a mobile device

If you have created and saved your passkey on your smartphone or tablet, you can use it to log in to netfiles not only on this mobile device, but also on a computer or other mobile device.

After you have clicked on “Login with passkey”, a QR code will be displayed in the next dialog box.

Scan the QR code with your mobile device. Follow the instructions on your smartphone or tablet and confirm your identity using your Face ID, your fingerprint or your device PIN.

If you have created a passkey on a FIDO2 security key, plug it in now.

Passkey missing or not available

If you are unable to use your passkey – for example because you have changed the device you previously used to log in, it has been lost or stolen – you can always log in to netfiles with your password instead. To do this, select “Login with password” after entering your user name or e-mail address.

If you would like to have your passkey deleted or if you have any further questions about your passkey, please contact our netfiles support team.
