Comments settings (Admin)

As an administrator, you can click on the gear wheel > “Comments” to activate or deactivate the comment function for users (see Comments on folders and files) and restrict it to certain users.

You can either make the function available to “all users” (all users in the data room, even if the user setting for visibility is restricted) or only to “users that all other users are allowed to see”. Please note that users can see other user names in the comment function even if visibility has been restricted in the user settings.

Whether users are allowed to see all other users must be defined in the user settings or when creating new users. You can find more information on this in the help article Visibility of users among each other.
